My subject is  “If I was able to be invisible for a day, I would……”It was submitted by http://momofbigalittlea.blogspot.com/ Here goes:

Oh what I wouldn’t do, *insert evil laugh*

Actually I wouldn’t want a whole day, I think I would be bored out of my mind and feel so lonely. I crave human interaction and would be miserable without it. I would want about an hour to watch my son sleep. I miss being able to watch him sleep without waking him up, he is so peaceful when he sleeps and reminds me of when he was a baby.

I would want a few moment to play tricks on my hubby while he slept and see how deep of a sleeper he really is.

While I’d like to right wrongs or whisper in people’s ears I fear I may freak them out. I know I would be freaked out. The one thing that truly scares me is the thought of ghosts and spirits. While I know my grandmother is watching over me I can’t ever catch a glimpse of her her, I would be collapse with fear.

When my son was first born, I would sit on the couch, hold him, rock him, and talk to him. He would look over my shoulder and smile. His eyes would follow something, something that wasn’t there. I KNEW it was my grandmother.  I would say aloud “I know you are there Grandma Angie, I love that you are watching over me, but please keep yourself hidden, I might freak out if I saw you.

Thankfully she always kept hidden, but I KNOW she watches over my son. I know that she is there making sure we are all okay, we are safe and loved. She is invisible but her spirit and love are all around us and in us.

Do I LOOK invisible?

then I would

  1. What a fun Secret Subject prompt! But no… You look to fun to look invisible! 🙂 But I think it might be pretty cool to spend the day unseen – and there are definitely some poepl i wouldn’t mind seeing freaked out a bit! Clear;y you are a nicer person than I! 🙂

  2. Karen: Very cool topic! I, too, still love to watch my little ones sleep. Along with being invisible I’d like to hit the rewind button and go back in time when they were infants. They grow up so fast. I guess your point about sensing your grandma around you and your son is that even though you may be invisible – it doesn’t mean that your presence can’t be felt. Have a blessed weekend!

  3. Oh, I loved watching my babies sleep! My snoring husband? Not so much. I love that you had the experience of your little one “seeing” your grandma. I think babies are new from heaven and can relate to “spirits”. My daughter would laugh in her crib when she was tiny. I knew she was visiting with my Grandpa. At least, I hope so. Great topic and post!

  4. Awwww, super sweet about watching your sleeping son. I love watching my little ones sleep. Mostly because they are finally quiet and aren’t asking me to wipe their butts or get them water, but also because they look so darn sweet! Great post!!!

  5. Love watching my little girl sleep and she is already 7! They are just so peaceful! Also, I completely agree, being invisible for a full 24 hours would be so lonely! Love that you would play tricks on your hubby! I totally would do the same thing!

  6. My daughter used to talk to people that weren’t there when she was probably 2-3. She claimed they had wings and watched over us. I’m not gonna lie, it freaked me out and I was afraid to get naked for a year lol. She doesn’t remember it now but I like to think we really do have angels watching over us 🙂 great job!!
