April Secret Subject Swap

Secret Subject Swap

Welcome to Take One of April’s Secret Subject Swaps. This week, 12 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.

My subject is If you could anything what would you want to accomplish?”.  It was submitted by   http://chewylicious.wordpress.com/

Of all the things I could accomplish…I am sure there are many wonderful, altruistic, world-changing things I could do. Since the past three nights my son has kept me up, my answer is SLEEP. Yes, I want to sleep, but not just ordinary sleep. I want to sleep straight through the night.  I don’t want to wake up thinking I hear my son talking in his sleep or woken up from a nightmare. I don’t want to wake up to my son calling my name. I don’t want to toss and turn as I think about all the things I need to do the next day. I don’t want to worry or stress over things I can’t control.

I just want to SLEEP. I want to sleep deeply and peacefully. I want to sleep soundly and securely. I want to sleep and wake refreshed and energized.

In high school, college, and at work before I was a mom I would complain about how tired I was. Now, I realize all that tiredness was just a JOKE. I knew nothing about being tired. I knew nothing about working all day with little or no sleep and then trying to get another human being through the day only thinking about, hoping you can just fall into bed and sleep. I knew nothing about trying to make it through the day being so tired you just wanted to cry.

Yes, if I could accomplish a sleep, pure and fulfilling sleep, I would set for life. I NEED TO SLEEP

  1. Perfect answer. We never really know what it’s like to be truly tired until we’re parents. LOVE the pic!

    • LOL…if I could capture sleep in a bottle, I would share it babe. But don’t worry, us moms don’t need to worry about something we will never have.

  2. How many times have I thought – will anyone miss me if I check into the Holiday Inn for about 12 hours? I could take a bath in private, watch whatever crap is on tv, read in peace, or just sleep. Probably just sleep.

Would love to read your thoughts
