It’s Saturday and time for my story once again. Mommy said she was so proud of me, want to know why? I rode a bigger bike and I did an awesome job.

Aunt Julieann, Uncle Adam, and my cousins Nicholas, Michael, and Vanessa bought me a cool SpiderMan bike for my birthday. I’ve been really scared to ride it, but then I decided to give it a chance and I ROCK!

I pedal pretty good for only a few times

I can turn fast and freak mommy out

Or I crash into the garage and do cool tricks while giving Mommy gray hairs. Don’t worry she loves gray hairs so it’s all good.

Here’s some cool videos of me riding my bike and Mommy showing how proud she is of me.

RIDING MY BIKE — 14 Comments

  1. Hi Karen,
Lovely pictures of your happy little man – It’s such a joy to learn to ride a bike! Even if mom’s getting gray hairs … with the bumps and crashes along the way 🙂
I remember the joy in the eyes of our boys when they learned to bike – moments to cherish!
    Enjoy your weekend 🙂

  2. Karen, my girls got bikes similar to Dino, but still have trouble pedaling. Emma is getting better, but Lily still needs us to push her on it. Loved how good he was though and you were so cute telling him what a “cute move” that was!! 🙂

    • He had trouble too, but suddenly it just clicked. I know I’m probably building his head up too much, he expects positive reinforcement all the time…LOLOLOL

  3. Awesome bike.

What is it with boys. They don’t watch where they are going. Once Hadyn ran right into a car. Once he ran straight into me. I don’t get it.

Dino looks wonderful on his bike. Unfortunately I don’t have any gray hairs – and it seems like I’m not getting any. However, if I did have gray hairs, they would be 100% due to my kids and their bike/skateboard/scooter antics.

    Have a great weekend!

    • LOLOLOLOL…Dino likes to look at his reflection in cars and ask me random questions…he obviously doesn’t pay attention. Boys are just too silly, but cute.

  4. Such a cutie! My oldest would love that bike (she’s 22); she’s a huge Spiderman fan.

It’s been a long time since my kids learned to ride. It sure was an exciting, and scary, time. Good luck, mom.

  5. Ha to mommy liking gray hairs! Congratulations on a bigger bike! We are so not there yet…my son hasn’t yet grasped the tricycle but I can say that he, too, does NOT look where he’s going. He has a motorized Mator (from the movie Cars) and if there’s a background soundtrack to him enjoying riding it, it’s “steer! watch out! you’re going to hit that tree! you’re about to hit that car! steer! turn!” Ugh. Apparently, this mommy likes gray hairs, too. Love the videos!

  6. {Melinda} Awww…those are such big moments. It’s bittersweet. Love seeing them get more independent and yet it means further away from us. Which is the natural progression of things, but it’s still a little tough to take, isn’t it? <3

    • it is Melinda. I love that he is growing and accomplishing new tasks…but when he looks like a big kid on that bike I see my little baby trying to crawl.
