ORGANIZATION…

I always have got my clothes ready the night before. I had my two outfits ready for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and other outfits ready for next week. Next Friday I am going back to Dress Barn and buying another skirt and and shirt.

I like to rotate my outfits.YES, I HAVE A SYSTEM

1) I can wear the same skirt on Monday and Thursday, or Tuesday and Friday all with different shirts. Even a dress can be worn on Monday and Friday…if I change the look a cardigan.
2) After dresses and shirts are washed and dried, they go to the beginning of the closet.
3) When I run out of shirts, I put them back in the correct order
4) Dresses, shirts, and cardigans are all in different groups. Each group is then broken down by color.
5) I find it easier to find what to wear when I know where it will be.
6) If I can’t find it, it’s either being washed, hanging to dry, or in the beginning of the closet.

My closet is filled with brown basics and shoes…from there I can add to it. I have shirts, skirts, cardigans, and dresses that can all be mixed and matched. I prefer short sleeve and sleeves since I get too hot very easily. I dress in layers…so I don’t need to worry about summer/winter clothes transitioning. So basically……

CLOSET: nice close and undergarments;
DRAWERS: pajamas, everyday outfits, weekend clothes.

As for shoes, I do have some high heels, but always bring a good pair of flats with me…just in case. I travel to schools and need to be comfortable.

LET’S GET ORGANIZED BLOG HOP #4 — 18 Comments

  1. I feel like such a slacker in this department and never really planned the night before when I taught and worked outside the home. I truly flew by the seat of my pants (even when I first had Emma). I really am not sure how I got out the door in one piece to be quite honest. Love your organizational skills though and seriously may need a lesson or two from you!! 🙂

    • OMG Janine, it’s been a hectic two days and I feel so bad that I haven’t been around much. Thankfully I have off today and tomorrow…but then it’s a full week. Hoping I can find time at night…I NEED To blog, LOL.

I know if I am not organized with my outfits I will take forever to get dressed and now that I have nicer clothes for work I want to take better care of them. If I let the organization slip…it will all be horrific, LOL

  2. I have never picked out my clothes he night before, but I think I need to start because I have so few options that for right now (weird post partum body), I know I will get frustrated in the mornings and feel like I have nothing to wear to work (starting next week) if I don’t do a little advance planning.

    • I know how you feel babe…pants just don’t look good on me. I prefer skirts and dresses…my body is very different now too..even four years later, LOL.

I know getting organized does help…you can even take pics of what outfits work and then keep them in your closet for reminders.

  3. Your clothes idea is so awesome! I rarely get my clothes out the night before but I totally need a system. I have gone to buying clothes that are more complimentary instead of having a hodge podge of things and not being able to mix and match like you do.

    • I think for me only focusing on brown makes it easier to mix and match clothes. I know other friends who do that with black. If I don’t get ready the night before…it will be a rough morning, KIWM? I am trying to teach Dino how to get organized so he is rushing around last minute.

    • Yeah….never really thought about eye level…doh…what concept. I am so glad to have met many great organizing blogs through this blog hop…if nothing else I will walk away SUPER ORGANIZED ((HUGS))

  4. I love this! I dress up my outfits with different tops too. I’m stopping by from SITS & I’m a new follower through Twitter & BlogLovin. I hope you & your family are having a good day.

  5. That’s a very organizing system for managing your wardrobe. I’m always envious of people who can manage to keep up on a system like that. I never manage stuff like that.

    • thanks babe, it’s not easy, I wish I could have the clothes hanging up to dry go back in the closet on their own. I know if I falter a bit…it will be easy to let it all go…

Would love to read your thoughts
