My prompt is: You are facing a summer of …. and you are ……

It was submitted by:

OMG I LOVE THIS PROMPT. I have LOTS of answers for this one!

I am facing a summer of getting stronger and healthier and I am eating non-GMO foods and going to the gym.

I lost TONS of inches as I build muscles and post about my healthy updates every Saturday. Muscles weigh more but take up less space…so hence the shrinking in sizes. I know I am going to rock this summer. I am going to run, play, swim, and be happily active with my son. I actually am looking forward to going to the beach…weird, right?

Want to read about these healthy eating and getting stronger posts? You can find them all here

I am facing a summer of saving money and I am finally going to be able to buy something for my son or myself without having to worry about “next paycheck”.

Without paying gas for commuting and only paying three days of daycare, that extra money is going into savings. Next year when Dino is in kindergarten, that money saved on daycare will go towards bills and savings.

I am facing a summer of organizing my blog and I am going to update pages and the schedule.

Blogs always change as the writer’s life changes. I want to update the pages bar to include my healthy recipes, exercises, books, Dinosaur’s stories and posts, and …..

Any suggestions?

I am facing a summer of organizing my recipes and I want a box or book of HEALTHY, organic and non-GMO recipes.

I have done this over the past…but really want one to reflect a healthier lifestyle. Maybe creating sheets with ideas for each time of meat/meatless meals. I enjoy making up or changing recipes as I go along…so having the ability to just get ideas might be better than recipes.

How do you organize your recipes? Seriously, I need ideas!

I only have two months…so I better get started NOW!

Secret Subject Swap – SUMMER PLANS — 8 Comments

  1. That sounds like a great summer and it sounds close to what I hope will be my summer!

I used to do the little cards for recipes and then moved to binders. Cut out the recipes in magazines or write them down and stick them in. If they’re a fam favorite put a sticker on them, if not a sad face.

Also, Pinterest rocks my socks for recipes when I run outta ideas 😉

  2. You always have such great plans and you’re always so excited about them, I just love it.
For my recipes, I use an old fashioned school binder, page tabs for each category, type up and print out the recipes, put them into clear sleeves (each sleeve takes 2 facing both sides for when you turn the page), and add them to the binder as I need to. Works out great!

  3. Wow, there’s so much enthusiasm and energy coming from your words! No doubt you will have a busy but happy summer!
My favorite recipes are just printouts, folded and stuffed in between the cookbooks in a cabinet. They are stained and crumbled, and *some time* I want to laminate them or at least put them in a binder.
    Happy Mother’s Day, Karen!

  4. Your Summer sounds amazing!!! I feel like a slacker. Other than my mind’s first birthday party, I have zero plans or goals. I should probably get on that. Fabulous post!!!

Would love to read your thoughts
