Goodreads Summary: Love the One You’re With

The New York Times bestselling author of Something Borrowed,Something Blue, and Baby Proof delivers another captivating novel about women and the choices that define them. This is the story for anyone who has ever wondered: How can I truly love the one I’m with when I can’t forget the one who got away?

Ellen and Andy’s first year of marriage doesn’t just seem perfect, it isperfect. There is no question how deep their devotion is, and how naturally they bring out the best in each other. But one fateful afternoon, Ellen runs into Leo for the first time in eight years. Leo, the one who brought out the worst in her. Leo, the one who left her heartbroken with no explanation. Leo, the one she could never quite forget. When his reappearance ignites long-dormant emotions, Ellen begins to question whether the life she’s living is the one she’s meant to live. Love the One You’re With is a powerful story about one woman at the crossroads of true love and real life.

Review: 5 Stars

At first I wanted to slap Ellen, she seemed so wishy washy, always putting herself last, but as the chapter went on I really liked her.

What a situation…finding out things about your past love you never knew which draws you closer to him, but not knowing if he’s in for the long haul….OR….staying comfortable with a man, who loves you, but also seems to want you to fit into his life and his family.

let’s not forget some self discovery along the way…so what happens…you will have to see.

I wanted her to desperately choose Leo…but then I changed my mind and was rooting for Andy.

Who did she choose? What life did she choose?

You’ll have to read to find out…I guarantee you’ll love it.

Goodreads Summary: The Innocent

The horror of one night is forever etched in Matt Hunter’s memory; the night he innocently tried to break up a fight-and ended up a killer. Now nine years after his release from prison, his innocence long forgotten, he’s an ex-con who takes nothing for granted. With his wife Olivia pregnant and the two of them closing on a house in his home town, things are looking up. Until the day Matt gets a shocking, inexplicable video call from Olivia’s phone. And in an instant, the unraveling begins. A mysterious man who begins tailing Matt turns up dead. A beloved nun is murdered. And local and federal authorities –including homicide investigator, Loren Muse, a childhood schoolmate of Matt’s with a troubled past of her own– see all signs pointing to a former criminal with one murder already under his belt … Matt Hunter. Unwilling to lose everything for a second time, Matt and Olivia are forced outside the law in a desperate attempt to save their future together

Review: 5 Stars

Once again Harlan Coben took me on a thrilling adventure. I had some ideas who was behind this and why…but I was WRONG once again.

Didn’t think it would end like it did…how did it end, you’ll have to read to find out. I guarantee it’s totally worth the read.

You’ll be screaming and cheering for Mark and Olivia…

Goodreads Summary: Second Chance

“The New York Times” bestselling author delivers another winning novel?this time it’s a tale of friendship and fate
Jane Green has become a nationally bestselling author with legions of fans through her novels about the true-life dilemmas of real women?their relationships, their careers, their loves, their triumphs and disappointments. In her latest book, Green tells the story of a group of people who haven?t seen each other since they were best friends at school. When one of them dies in a terrible tragedy, the reunited friends work through their grief together and find that each of their lives is impacted in ways they could have never foreseen. Warm, witty, and as wise as ever, this is a story of friendship, of family, and of life coming full circle.

I think I may have started reading this before and stopped. Not sure why…maybe I wanted to read something else or maybe I lost interest…Hoping I like this…as I just started it.

  1. I read “Love the One You’re With” years ago…and honestly can’t remember that much about it. It may be time to dig it up if I can ever finish the book I’m working on now. Hope the school year is treating you well!
