Dino LOVED the meatloaf and veggies…he even asked for a second helping of food. I mixed my meatloaf with some shredded cheese just to give it an extra flavor. For dessert, we had my favorite, apple crumble.
Who needs Annie’s mac and cheese when you have Whole Food’s mac and cheese AND it’s GMO free? Beat that Annie’s. I mixed broccoli into the mac and cheese and topped with shredded cheese…so good. I had some salmon burgers on the side…which were too salty for me.
As I made the rice, I added a good amount of curry and some Latin seasoning mix and threw in some broccoli. Then I cut the defrosted chicken pesto sausage and baked it for a bit, since it’s precooked. After I mixed it all together, I topped it with shredded cheese….AWESOME!!!!!!
Instead of taking Dino back home before karate, I picked up pizza and we ate in the car at the rec center. Dino loves this…we listened to music and chatted.
Dino just LOVES rice and beans…and this just looks so “Halloweeney” if that is even a word. As usual, I slow-cooked kidney beans with lots of seasoning, then we added rice and veggies. Topping it with shredded cheese finishes it off. It was tasty and filling!
We went out to eat at our favorite place, Piccolo’s Pizza. Dino of course got pizza, but I had the pesto chicken wrap…my favorite.
Hubby said he’s a bit tired of meatloaf, but Dino loves it…so Dino wins as he can’t go out and get his own food. I love it too…sorry hubby.
For me the best tasting qunioa is when I add olive oil and butter to the water with TONS of seasoning…then dump in the quiona when the water boils. This locks in the flavor and keeps it super tasty and fluffy. Then mixing it with the sausage and broccoli only adds even more flavor. Dino LOVES it and will eat it like mad. you can mix it with eggs or sprinkle cheese on top…so many choices.
I bought Dino a new lunch box…Planet Box Shuttle. The rover seemed too big for him, especially since he doesn’t eat a lot of the food I pack…too busy talking. If he starts to eat more, then I’ll get him the Rover size. I remember to take pics of three lunches. Planet Box keeps the food cold, is cute, and easy to clean.
