Goodreads Summary: In The Blood

Liar, liar, pants on fire . . . College senior Lana Granger has told so many lies about her past that the truth seems like a distant, cloudy nightmare.  But she meets her match when she begins babysitting for a volatile, manipulative eleven-year-old boy.  Soon after Lana takes the job, her close friend Beck mysteriously disappears.  Lana instantly begins fabricating stories – to friends, to police, to herself.  Why doesn’t her account jibe with those of eye-witnesses?  Lana will do anything to bury the truth about that night … and about her life.  But someone else knows her secrets.  And he’s dying to tell.

As darkly startling and finely crafted as her blockbuster bestseller Beautiful Lies, Lisa Unger’s masterful new psychological thriller is packed with no-holds-barred raw power.

Review: 5 Stars

I bow to Lisa Unger and her creativity for the twisted, sick and page turning mysteries.

What a book, I had an idea, but it wasn’t easy idea to get to. Some books are poorly written and so easy to identify the killer and mystery. But not Lisa, she leads you there but with more questions than answers…even when you are partially right you are still tricked and amazed.

What a situation, what a story, what an ending. I had to pullover I was screaming and laughing…the last word had so much damn meaning. WOW!

I highly recommend this book, and plan on reading more of her books.

Goodreads Summary: Home Again

At the center of Home Again is Madelaine – a brilliant cardiologist, a loving mother, a tender friend, and a woman full of self-doubt. It is also the story of her confused and angry daughter, Lina, and of the two very different men Madelaine loves: Francis, a priest searching for his faith, and Angel, a talented but cynical man with a broken heart. When tragedy suddenly brings them all together, they must learn to forgive the betrayals of the past and find the courage to love again.

Already the beginning is good…I’m captivated and look forward to getting to know the characters.

Just Finished Reading… — 9 Comments

    • OMG, so loving Home Again. Some reviews said it was predictable…of course you know the dilema they will be in…but the journey to the end is the exciting part…I am predicting two outcomes…both equally sorrowful and joyous

  1. In The Blood, sounds SO suspenseful!! I’m intrigued. Home Again, sounds quite different from In The Blood, but equally as intriguing 🙂
    Thanks for sharing your review.

  2. In the Blood sounds really good. My kind of book – I’m kind of a slow reader, so I like books that keep me going. Maybe Santa will bring me a book???
