Goodreads Summary: The Hypnotist’s Love Story
Ellen O’Farrell is a professional hypnotherapist who works out of the eccentric beachfront home she inherited from her grandparents. It’s a nice life, except for her tumultuous relationship history. She’s stoic about it, but at this point, Ellen wouldn’t mind a lasting one. When she meets Patrick, she’s optimistic. He’s attractive, single, employed, and best of all, he seems to like her back. Then comes the dreaded moment: He thinks they should have a talk. It turns out that Patrick’s ex-girlfriend is stalking him, and Ellen is intrigued by the woman’s motives. She wants to meet her, but doesn’t know that she already has. –Publisher description.
My Review 5 stars
So well written that I was empathizing with Saskia and angry with Patrick. I really wanted Ellen and Saskia to be friends…but as the story progressed I knew that could not happen
Spoilers: Highlight to read….
(((Wow, at first I wanted to junk punch and kick Patrick for what he did to Saskia. Then as I understood him and the grief he was suffering I understood. If he had met Ellen first the same thing would have happened.
Poor Saskia all that she went through, all that she lost, all the she’ll never have… I think Patrick’s mother really should have connected with her and kept her relationship with Jack strong. Jack suffered the most because of Patrick’s decision. I’m glad she was able to find a life for herself. She spent too much time alone now she finally has support.
Really liked Ellen’s character, felt that she grew not only as a hypnotist but as a person.))).

Goodreads Summary: A Tap on the Window
When Cal Weaver stops at a red light on a rainy night while driving home, he ignores the bedraggled-looking teenage girl trying to hitch a ride – even when she starts tapping on his window. But as soon as he realizes she’s one of his son’s classmates, he knows he can’t really leave her, alone, on the street.
But nothing prepares him for the consequences of trying to help her out. The next morning he’s gone from Good Samaritan to Murder Suspect, and with one girl dead and another missing, he’s suddenly at the center of a deadly puzzle that reaches right to the heart of the town – from its bullying police force to its strangely furtive mayor – and finally to one family’s shocking secret.
Whoa, sometimes a good act can turn on you. This is insane, but I’m going to love it.
