Goodreads Summary: Don’t Tell a Soul (CD rental from library)

Tim Wallace’s wife died in a boating accident several months ago. Tim was the only eye witness, and one New Jersey cop is sure he killed her. He didn’t, but even if the police eventually clear his name, he’ll never get over this terrible tragedy.

On New Year’s Eve, his two best friends and business partners finally convince him to go out for the first time since Maggie’s death, and at their neighborhood pub just a few minutes before midnight, things in Tim Wallace’s life go from bad to worse. “Can you keep a secret? A really big one?” a drunken stranger asks him. Before Tim can say anything or turn away, the man confesses to a months-old murder, even offering as proof the location of the woman’s body. “Now it’s your problem,” he says and walks away.

When the man turns out to have been telling the truth, Tim’s life and work are put under the microscope again by the cops, and this time they’re not giving up. But neither is Tim, even when things keep getting worse for him, and eventually he realizes he’s the only person who can figure out what’s really going on—even if it kills him.

My Review – 4 Stars

As I continued reading I thought maybe he was indeed crazy and did kill his wife, I mean he could have been pretending to be innocent and psycho all along.
He really was framed…but by who???? I had my theories, but I was wrong…

There was one major clue that I missed, seriously when they talked about the clue I wanted to smack myself for not getting that either.

The climax/ending was a big far-fetched and over the top…

Highlight for spoilers… (((It was the secretary!!!! seriously, it was Meredith and the major clue I missed? Where did they get the DNA to compare it to the finger found in the park? That was given to the police by Meredith. Obviously it wasn’t Maggie’s DNA, but no one even questioned it.)))

Goodreads Summary: Cold Cold Heart (Book on Audible)

Dana Nolan was a promising young TV reporter until a notorious serial killer tried to add her to his list of victims.  Nearly a year has passed since surviving her ordeal, but the physical, emotional, and psychological scars run deep.  Struggling with the torment of post-traumatic stress syndrome, plagued by flashbacks and nightmares as dark as the heart of a killer, Dana returns to her hometown in an attempt to begin to put her life back together.  But home doesn’t provide the comfort she expects.

Dana’s harrowing story and her return to small town life have rekindled police and media interest in the unsolved case of her childhood best friend, Casey Grant, who disappeared without a trace the summer after their graduation from high school.  Terrified of truths long-buried, Dana reluctantly begins to look back at her past.  Viewed through the dark filter of PTSD, old friends and loved ones become suspects and enemies.  Questioning everything she knows, refusing to be defined by the traumas of her past and struggling against excruciating odds, Dana seeks out a truth that may prove too terrible to be believed….

Right from the start you are treated to Dana’s horror and torture. What an introduction to the highly twisted and intense story. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

  1. I am in the middle of one book right now and just read the sample from The Astronaut’s Wife’s Club as I have been watching the show and think I will be reading that next when I have the time now. But will have to keep your suggestions in mind as always, too.

Would love to read your thoughts
