Sneak Peak Saturday

Welcome to Sneak Peek Saturday on Reading List!

Sneak Peek Saturday on Reading List a glimpse into what I am reading currently

Current book:

No Time For Goodbye by Linwood Barclay

siw

Goodreads Summary:

Fourteen-year-old Cynthia Bigge woke one morning to discover that her entire family, mother, father, brother had vanished. No note, no trace, no return. Ever. Now, twenty-five years later, she’ll learn the devastating truth

Sometimes better not to know. . .

Cynthia is happily married with a young daughter, a new family. But the story of her old family isn’t over. A strange car in the neighborhood, untraceable phone calls, ominous gifts, someone has returned to her hometown to finish what was started twenty-five years ago. And no one’s innocence is guaranteed, not even her own. By the time Cynthia discovers her killer’s shocking identity, it will again be too late . . . even for goodbye.

Sneak Peek:

Chapter 27: 1:47-2:05

“Honest to God Cyn, I don’t know what to think anymore, but the moment I saw that letter I knew it had come from my typewriter and I knew I hadn’t written it. That left you, unless someone came in here and wrote it on that typewriter to, I don’t know, make it look like one of us had done it.”

Initial Thoughts

Linwood Barclay really messes you up and makes you never trust anyone again. I can only imagine what twisted reveals and lies we will be in store for with this book. Totally know where this is going and hope it’s not obvious.

  1. hmmm… certainly interesting… although I’m not sure if it’s my kind of read, head games and suspense is what it sounds like, and that isn’t my go to, right now. Then again I’ve been known to be surprised by genres! Thanks for sharing this one!

  2. The no time for good by sounds like a great mystery, I think I’m going to suggest it to my daughter who is looking for a good book. I should be reading more but with work and blogging its crazy.

Would love to read your thoughts
